'If I be waspish, best beware my sting.'

— Act V, scene 1

Samantha Spiro (Sex Education, Netflix) and Simon Paisley Day (This England, Sky) go head to head as Katherina and Petruchio in the ★★★★★ (Daily Mail) production.

Shakespeare’s vibrant comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, brings to the stage a headstrong couple whose courtship puts conventional notions of love and autonomy under a microscope.

Synopsis

In Padua two sisters are poised for marriage: the younger, much sought-after Bianca and the fiercely independent Katherina. But Bianca must wait until her older sister finds a husband, one who matches her spirit and intellect. Enter Petruchio, whose unconventional suit will test whether he can win Katherina's heart.

This production includes brief partial nudity and a scene involving physical restraint with the threat of violence.
